I struggle with yoga on a daily basis. However I make progress on a daily basis too.Progress not perfection is my motto with yoga. I laughed at the comment above about “I can’t do yoga because I’m not flexible.”

I started doing yoga to become flexible and to get rid of my back pain. pain free for about 2 years now. Which is why I started the website for Beginning Yoga Dvd.

Thanks for this Jamine! I, too, have troubles with sleep (I used to be a really good sleeper as a kid). I don't have kids but it definitely has got worse with higher stress jobs/lots of travel.

Part of it for me is going through life thinking I was a night person (read: cool) as I was able to stay up late in university, to realizing just recently that I'm actually a morning person (read: dorky). Morning people don't have intense political wine-soaked conversations until 3 in the morning! Morning people don't have that layer of sarcasm and grittiness to hide behind - they are just out and out perky!

Now that I've realized I'm a morning person (as well as a Highly Sensitive Person who needs more sleep than others), I'm trying hard to change looooong-held patterns of pushing through feelings of exhaustion at night. I'm 41 years old and I'm openly admitting it's OK to go to bed at 10pm!!! :)

Dev and his wife Lucy are friends of mine. You will be fortunate to meet them as they are so genuine. It is nice to feel fresh air in your life and this is what you will feel in their presence.

That's a good point, Tim. And I'm in a good position at the moment to just let it be. Chicken soup is on the way, so I'm going to revel in it - the having a cold part, not the soup :)

I hope you feel better soon, Jamine. If you're looking for another positive perspective - I've heard it's good to give the immune system a workout every so often. :)

I think it's really great that you don't take your moods personally. That is a goal I hope to master one day :)
Hope you feel better soon~
